Nexium is the brand name for the active ingredient in Esomeprazole Magnesium, also known as Esomeprazole Magnesium. Esomeprazole Magnesium is a magnesium-based proton pump inhibitor (PPI). The medication works by blocking certain natural chemicals in your stomach, such as acid and proton pumps, which are responsible for your body’s production of acid and reflux.
Nexium is available in a tablet form, making it easy to use for daily use. The tablet form is taken orally, and the tablet is available in a 5-milligram capsule or liquid.
Nexium is used to treat stomach ulcers caused by certain heart diseases, such as:
Nexium is a proton pump inhibitor (PPI). By blocking the production of stomach acid and reflux, Nexium reduces the amount of acid in your stomach, allowing your body to absorb and eliminate the excess. This makes your body’s acid production stronger and helps with the digestion process.
Nexium helps to reduce the amount of acid that you need to digest food. It helps to relieve symptoms of acid reflux (e.g., heartburn, heartburn, indigestion). It also helps to heal ulcers caused by a weakened stomach acid. Nexium helps heal ulcers caused by other conditions such as Crohn’s disease, diabetes, and ankylosing spondylitis.
